A combined Information Centre must be one of the most valuable tools that the City of Hull could have if it is to move forward as a pioneering city.
The time is now. We must start thinking laterally and really take a good look at our surroundings. We need to capitalise on our connections with Europe through the North Sea Ferry Terminal and our local airport facilities. Hull could be opened up as a hub for promoting our neighbouring areas; for example, coastal towns like Hornsea, Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby; historical towns like York, Beverley and Lincoln. Venues such as Beverley races all have a tremendous pulling power for attracting visitors.
The goal must be to attract new business and sustain the businesses which we already have by means of better awareness and improving communication techniques.
